PPP and EIDL resources Email
Thursday, April 16, 2020 02:00 PM

Over the last few weeks, ALCC has gathered a number of resources related to understanding the process of applying for PPP and EIDL loans. We've assembled them here for reference. We ask that you contact your Congressional representatives and senators and urge them to support the release of additional funds for these programs in order to address the many small businesses that were unable to be approved before the funds from the first relief packages were exhausted. New resources and news on any additional funds will be shared at www.alcc.com/covid and on our blog as they become available.

H-2B update for April 15, 2020 Email
Wednesday, April 15, 2020 05:40 PM
This evening we have several updates to share regarding H-2B and H-2A:
  1. In today’s H-2B Workforce Coalition call, and in light of DHS suspending its rule on supplemental H-2B visas for 2020, ALCC has signed onto a letter to be sent to DHS next week. There are seven specific “asks” in the letter, mainly focused on stressing that H-2B petitions should receive similar treatment to H-2A, permitting H-2B workers to be transferred between employers (including those already in country from 1st cap), and making supplemental visas available should there be a swift rebound to the economy. Jump to a summary of the letter from the H-2B Workforce Coalition.
  2. The Department of Labor’s Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) released an updated list of H-2B foreign labor recruiters for first half of fiscal year 2020. Jump to the announcement.
  3. OFLC released public disclosure data and program statistics for the first half of fiscal year 2020. Jump to the announcement.
  4. USDA temporarily amended certain H-2A requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jump to the news release.
