The COMPS order would “presumptively cover all employees, unless specifically excluded.” It would also raise the minimum salary threshold for so-called “white collar” workers to $817.31/week ($42,500/year)—higher than the proposed increase at the federal level. That threshold would then increase by $3,000 each year through 2026, putting the minimum salary threshold for exemption at $1,105.77/week or $57,500/year. The comment deadline for the proposed rule is December 31, 2019. Comments can be submitted via email ([email protected]), fax (303-318-8400), or mail (Division of Labor Standards & Statistics, 633 17th Street, Denver CO 80202).
