Certification candidates face deadlines for testing Email

Landscape Industry CertifiedLate last year, the National Association of Landscape Professionals announced changes to the Landscape Industry Certified - Technician Exterior program. On Jan. 1, 2020, the current testing format of written and hands-on test problems will be replaced with an online-only exam. For 2019, ALCC is accepting new and retest candidates for test dates in Colorado.

In fact, the decision may be different over the life cycle of the company. Business owners make decisions and adjust processes based on the size and resources of their organization as well as current market conditions. Labor shortages, lower interest rates for large purchases... all of it can affect where funds are spent.

mechanicLandscape companies would not mow acres upon acres of grass or complete all their installations each season without service technicians in their own shop or nearby dealership. Those techs keep the industry running. On the equipment side, workforce is as much of a challenge as it is for any other segment of the green industry.
