piggy bankThe Internal Revenue Service (IRS) issued an announcement May 7, 2020 about three new tax credits available to businesses impacted by the pandemic. Learn more about the credits in the IRS news release:

Employee Retention Credit:

The employee retention credit is designed to encourage businesses to keep employees on their payroll. The refundable tax credit is 50% of up to $10,000 in wages paid by an eligible employer whose business has been financially impacted by COVID-19.

Renewal & Remembrance, Days on the Hill canceled for 2020 Email

Arlington National CemeteryDue to the COVID-19 pandemic, NALP recently announced that both Legislative Days on the Hill and Renewal and Remembrance events in Washington, DC have been canceled for 2020.

“This would have marked the 25th year NALP members gathered to lend their professional skills to care for and beautify Arlington National Cemetery,” NALP stated on their blog. “While [members] all admit it is disappointing that they won’t be able to volunteer this year, they also agree it is a unique situation and necessary to cancel.”
