Good afternoon,

As we are getting word about the next phase of easing out of the stay-at-home order, we are also hearing of the need to provide guidance on safe business operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

To assist our members and our government stakeholders, ALCC has developed the following guidance for the Colorado landscape industry: ALCC Landscape Industry Guidance for Business Operations During COVID-19 in Colorado. White House Guidelines for Opening Up America Again Email

On Thursday, the White House unveiled its Guidelines for Opening Up America Again, a three-phase approach to reopening the economy in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. There are instructions for individuals, employers, and some specific industries such as schools and large venues.

Once the state or region has met proposed gating criteria, the following guidelines for employers should be followed.

COVID-19 safety sheet for landscape crews Email

Are you working on a safety plan for your time in light of COVID-19? ALCC board member Ben Fisk shared the one-page COVID-19 safety sheet he created for the employee handbook at Fisk Lawnscapes, Colorado Springs. "As we hire seasonal workers this is an important update for our teams, Fisk noted. "This was adapted from the NAHB resources they sent out a week ago."

OSHA releases interim guidance related to COVID-19 Email

OSHA has released COVID-19-related interim guidance this week. One announcement concerns the agency's attempt to consider an employer's good faith efforts at compliance. The other announcement concerns advice regarding recordkeeping requirements related to COVID-19 illness.

Good evening,

Yesterday ALCC hosted another webinar for members, this time discussing HR and business topics related to the pandemic. It was two hours packed with valuable information and great questions from members in attendance. If you were unable to attend or want to review the information, you can listen to the recorded webinar here.

Unfortunately, yesterday evening it was announced that funds for Payment Protection Program (PPP) loans and Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL), provided by the COVID-19 stimulus package, had been depleted and no new applications can be accepted. But like many of you, we have heard that there could be additional dollars made available for PPP and EIDL in a forthcoming additional relief act. With that in mind there are two things you can do:
