The Colorado Office of the State Auditor is currently evaluating all of the State's tax exemptions, refunds, credits, and other 'expenditures' to provide information to the General Assembly about if/how these expenditures are used by stakeholders; their impact on stakeholders; and their impact on the state government. To be clear, they are not auditing any entities in this process—they are simply doing research to provide information about how these expenditures function.

Part of this review includes evaluating fuel tax exemptions and refunds. Knowing that ALCC members use gasoline and other similar fuels in much of their daily work, the state auditor is interested in speaking with ALCC member companies about any fuel tax exemptions/refunds that they utilize.
