CSU shines at National Collegiate Landscape Competition |

Anna Cordiner, a senior at CSU and recipient of this year’s JBK Scholarship from ALCC, topped the Superstar Report with a total individual score of 439.50, coming in first among nearly 700 students competing. CSU placed fourth overall, with a total team score of 3874.05. Students from CSU placed in the top ten in at least ten categories. Highlights include:
For complete results, visit www.landscapeprofessionals.org. The competition, which took place March 16-19 at Mississippi State University, celebrated 40 years this month. Sixty schools competed in what has become the largest competition and career recruitment event for college students studying horticulture and landscaping. The event combines education; competitive events in which students get to show off their skills in tree climbing, patio building, identifying horticulture specimens, skid steer operation, sales presentation, exterior/interior design, irrigation troubleshooting, wood construction, and more; and a Career Fair that allows recruiters from approximately 75 companies to interview students for jobs.
