It’s also a valuable activity for leaders in the industry. Working together with peers toward a common goal benefits the community, but it also benefits the individual. Volunteering with advocacy efforts can be a great learning and networking opportunity. Advocacy means more than flying to DC to meet with Congressional leaders or simply tweeting to them. On occasion, ALCC seeks feedback on new legislation and at times may be looking for members to testify on issues.
