Upon returning after the unplanned break, the session shifted. The legislature was forced to address a tremendous budget shortfall. Some pre-shutdown bills were postponed indefinitely, and a slate of new bills were introduced, some meant to address issues related to the pandemic or adjusted to reflect the current situation.
