H-2B visa program advocacy

ALCC's advocacy efforts include support for continuation and reform of the H-2B visa program, a guest worker program that has proven to be a crucial tool in bridging the labor gap for Colorado landscape companies.

What is the H-2B visa program? Watch a two-minute explainer:

As the landscape industry's workforce issues escalate, the H-2B visa program has become a vital source of labor so that businesses can continue to operate. ALCC members lobby representatives in Colorado and in Washington, DC for expansion of the program, which currently falls short of providing US businesses the labor they need.

Colorado is currently experiencing tremendous growth at a time when the unemployment rate is already one of the lowest in the nation. ALCC believes that without an increase in the number of H-2B guest workers allowed, it is unlikely that many companies will be able to find the workers they need in 2018.
