First Coronavirus relief act signed into law March 18 Email

US CapitolThis week, the President signed into law the Families First Act (H.R. 6021), the first of multiple aid packages to help citizens in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic. The law is effective April 2, 2020. NALP has created a summary document detailing the responsibilities that this law puts upon employers and businesses. DOL has also issued a summary of key provisions of the law.

CO 811 locatesColorado 811 has created a web page with updates on the COVID-19 impact on operations. Please keep in mind that as of March 24, 811 locates rules are still in effect. From the Colorado 811 website:

Many of us may think that we can recognize spam or phishing emails, though scammers continue to become more sophisticated. Teaching email security to staff should be an ongoing process to keep ahead of those sophisticated schemes. For example, email spoofing can be difficult to recognize.
