We aim to be a resource to our industry and can use our blog, usually dedicated to issues of industry advocacy and related legislation, as a clearinghouse for the information that is coming in at a fast pace.

CoronavirusYesterday, Governor Polis declared a state of emergency regarding the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). There are a number of resources available to businesses to assist them in curbing the spread of the virus and keeping employees at lower risk.

The US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), in cooperation with the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) published Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19 to help companies respond in the event of coronavirus in the workplace.

Colorado Garden FoundationThe Colorado Garden Foundation continued its tradition of showcasing and rewarding talented professionals in the landscape community as well as worthy organizations through the 2020 Colorado Garden & Home Show. As always, one hundred percent of every ticket sold is awarded by the Colorado Garden Foundation in the form of grants and student scholarships, including one four-year, full-ride scholarship to attend a Colorado institution.

New law increases access to apprenticeship program contacts Email

Colorado CapitolOn March 4, the Colorado state legislature passed Senate Bill 20-081, concerning including school information in the Colorado state apprenticeship resource directory.

The law will help employers better connect with public high schools regarding apprenticeship programs. It will require the state apprenticeship resource directory to include contact information for apprenticeship program contacts at every public high school and school district.
