Some Colorado towns and counties issuing orders to wear masks Email

Some cities in Colorado have issued orders requiring citizens to wear masks in public. The list below is not an exhaustive list. Please check with your municipality for the current rules regarding face masks and other required COVID-19 related safety measures.

Aspen
On April 27, Aspen City Council approved a resolution making it the law that people wear face coverings in public. Read the city's FAQs on the law.

Boulder
Boulder County issued a public health order requiring masks effective through May 26. Read the county's guidance regarding the order. city of Boulder has also required masks in its emergency health order

Denver
Denver's public health order requiring masks will take effect May 6 and "will continue until further notice." Read the order.

Fort Collins
City of Fort Collins issued a fask mask mandate on May 1, effective indefinitely. Read the emergency rules and regulations that include the mask requirement.

Glenwood Springs 
The city that was the first in Colorado to issue a public health order requiring masks has extended that order through June 4, 2020.

Larimer County
Larimer County's order took effect May 3 and will run through May 30. Read the public health order.

Routt County
Routt County's public health order is in effect through May 10. Read the public health order.

Summit County
The Summit County public health order is in effect "until further notice." Read the order.

Superior
Town of Superior has issued a face-covering order on May 1, with no expiration date.

Wheat Ridge
The city's face-covering order requires visitors to critical businesses to wear masks. The order extends to May 30, 2020. Read the city's FAQs on the order.
