New guidance for construction site safety Email
Thursday, April 02, 2020 03:00 PM

Good afternoon,

We have received additional direction, issued by the State of Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE), regarding safety and social distancing on construction sites. Please read this information thoroughly as it applies to your worksites.

ALCC emphasizes that this guidance is provided for the safety and health of your crews and stresses the importance of maintaining proper distancing.

We recognize that some landscape companies have opted to delay projects that they deem non-essential. We understand that this is an individual choice and must be made on a case by case basis within each company. Often, the decision to put operations on hold is made in the interest of public health and the safety of the company team.

We ask that company owners look at the services they offer and their current contracts and consider whether those projects need to be provided today or if they can be held off until the anticipated surge of COVID-19 cases begins to slow. We informally received further clarification with CDPHE that cosmetic and non-essential construction would not fall under the current order.

Please let us know what your company is doing and how/why you have made the decision to continue work or put work on hold. You can also submit your questions and comments regarding HR and business issues related to the pandemic by completing this form or simply replying to this email.

Warm regards,

John
