High School Day ProGreen EXPO 2020Once again, the ALCC Landscape Career Pathways program presented a day of programming for high school students at ProGreen EXPO 2020. The day provided students and teachers an opportunity to attend ProGreen EXPO to learn about the industry and career options.

On Thursday, February 6, 62 students participated in a “speed-dating” activity, during which they spent time talking to ALCC member volunteers about their specialty areas. The volunteer industry professionals represented a variety of aspects of the industry: design, installation, maintenance/equipment, irrigation, and marketing/sales. After lunch, students and instructors toured the EXPO hall floor, watching demonstrations at Arbortists' Corner, visiting exhibiting companies and learning about the supplier side of the industry.

Participating schools in 2020 included Green Mountain High School, Westminster High School, Eaton High School, St. Vrain Valley, and Pickens Technical College.
