Weisburg's people fueled two decades of success Email

Eric Moroski & Jeff WeisburgJeff Weisburg, who moved to Colorado from Michigan in 1991, and Eric Moroski, a native Coloradan, first met when they worked for the same company while in their late 20s. Weisburg, who earned a  business degree from University of Michigan, stopped working for others in 1999 when he founded Weisburg Landscape Management (WLM)after buying a small landscape maintenance company with a handful of clients.

NCLC holds virtual event after collegiate competition is canceled Email

NALPThe National Association of Landscape Contractors (NALP) announced March 11 its decision to cancel the 2020 National Collegiate Landscape Competition (NCLC) due to travel and health issues surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19). The situation on the Michigan State University campus changed rapidly just one week before the event, and for the safety of students, faculty and industry members, the event was canceled. But organizers recognized the disappointment for many and quickly organized a virtual career fair April 7 and 8 where students and employers connected.

Dept. of LaborThe U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) recently released three new opinion letters that address compliance issues related to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). An opinion letter is an official, written opinion by the Department’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD) on how a particular law applies in specific circumstances presented by the person or entity that requested the letter.

EAB quarantine repealed Email

Emerald Ash BorerLast year, EAB was detected in Broomfield, Westminster and unincorporated Larimer County, near Berthoud. These detections were outside of a quarantine area encompassing primarily Boulder County, established to slow the spread of EAB via the movement of ash nursery stock, firewood and other wood that may contain the pest. With EAB discovered outside of Boulder County, the Colorado Department of Agriculture found it necessary to repeal all quarantine laws, effective Dec. 30, 2019.
