2018 testing announced for Landscape Industry Certification Email

Landscape Industry CertifiedAssociated Landscape Contractors of Colorado (ALCC) has released its 2018 schedule of testing opportunities for Landscape Industry Certified Technician candidates. According to Melissa Emdin, Programs & Education Director, ALCC will deliver an updated test in 2018, with minor changes designed to keep pace with the latest standards in the landscape industry.

In 2017, ALCC saw a large number of first-time test takers. “If you or one of your employees started the pursuit of certification this year, we encourage you make it part of your professional development plan to continue and achieve certification in 2018,” said Emdin.

2018 Testing Opportunities

Written Testing offered at ProGreen EXPO at the Colorado Convention Center -- Registration deadline is January 8, 2018.

  • Wednesday, February 14, 2018, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
  • Thursday, February 15, 2018, 8:30 am - 11:30 am

2018 Written Test Dates
Written tests will be offered in all ALCC chapters. If there are not enough candidates registered in the area you select you may need to test at another location.

  • Wednesday, March 28, 2018, register by March 9, 2018
  • Wednesday, May 30, 2018, register by May 11, 2018
  • Wednesday, July 25, 2018, register by July 6, 2018

2018 Hands-On Test Dates
Hands-on testing will be held at Pickens Technical College, Aurora

  • Saturday, June 9, 2018, register by May 11, 2018
  • Saturday, August 11, 2018, register by July 6, 2018

ALCC is licensed by the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) to offer the test. The same test is administered to exacting standards internationally. The Landscape Industry Certified Technician test allows individuals in the landscape industry to establish a personal performance benchmark that is recognized throughout the United States and Canada. When an individual earns certification, it demonstrates that he or she knows certain landscape concepts and can perform a variety of industry tasks to specific standards.
