ALCC members win safety awardThis fall, the National Association of Landscape Professionals named the recipients of its Safety Recognition Awards. Two ALCC members—Swingle Lawn, Tree & Landscape, and Timberline Landscaping, Inc.—were among those honored. Two other Colorado-based companies—KIRA, Inc. and Lupine Lawn Care—were also recognized.

Swingle Lawn, Tree & Landscape Care in Denver received bronze recognition for Overall Safety Achievement. This award honors those companies with thorough, high-performing, safety programs that create and maintain safe work environments in the industry. It is based on combined fleet and employee incident rates and a checklist also that rates the company’s complete safety program. Swingle Lawn, Tree & Landscape Care in Fort Collins received silver recognition for Overall Safety Achievement, as well as no vehicle accidents and no days away from work.

Colorado-Springs-based Timberline Landscaping also received silver recognition for Overall Safety Achievement, no vehicle accidents and no days away from work.

KIRA, Inc received silver recognition for Overall Safety Achievement at its Fort Carson and USAF Academy locations in Colorado.

Lupine Lawn Care in Durango got a nod for their record of no vehicle accidents in 2015.

The Safety Recognition Awards program “is designed to reward landscape industry professionals who consistently demonstrate their commitment to safety, and reflects the dedication of these individuals and their companies to creating and maintaining safe work environments.” The program is open to all landscape industry companies and branches.
